1. Who we are

Lexifari is a guided language-learning companion offered on the web and on iOS. These terms are between you and Lexifari. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use Lexifari. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. We use a third-party sign-in provider (Firebase) to authenticate you.

3. Plans, billing, and trials

• A free tier gives access to Act 1 of the Swahili path.
• The Trip Pass is a one-time purchase granting 90 days of full access from the date of purchase. It does not renew.
• Premium is a subscription billed monthly or annually, with a 7-day free trial. It renews automatically until canceled.
• Web payments are processed by Stripe. Purchases made through the iOS app are processed by Apple.

4. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refund eligibility is described in our refund policy.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempts to break, scrape, or resell it, and no uploading of content you do not have the right to use. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Your content

Content you capture or upload remains yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to process it into transcripts, vocabulary, audio, and review so the product can function.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Lexifari is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. This section will be finalized under legal review.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; we will note the date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice.
